H.S. Jessup Architecture is a Manhattan-based firm specializing in residential design. Henry Jessup received his BA from Brown University and subsequently, his Masters of Architecture from Columbia University. Since the firm's inception in 1978, the philosophy of the practice has been informed by historical precedents, vernacular influences, client input and Henry Jessup's unique design sensibility and vision. Although there have been many opportunities to expand the size of the practice through the years, Henry Jessup has repeatedly chosen to keep the office small, accepting a limited number of projects each year. This approach allows him central involvement in each project, and the ability to provide clients with the attention to detail he considers necessary to achieve a design's full potential. Throughout the decades, all business has come through referrals, a testimony to the high level of client satisfaction. To date H.S. Jessup Architecture has completed over 450 projects in eight countries.
